Presidency Confirms Release Of Abducted Dapchi Girls2
The presidency has confirmed the release of Dapchi schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents.
Ministers of Information and Defence just briefed the press ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting. The released girls are in the custody of DSS . It was also reported that no ransoms were paid. Meanwhile, Lere Olayinka, an aide to Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday reacted to the release of the abducted students from Government Science Secondary School in Dapchi, Yobe State.

The governor’s aide tweeted: “removed Military checkpoints” and allowed the girls to be abducted “have released them.”
